The Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond, Virginia, has four items that were a part of Marcellus Pointer's military kit; a captured US officer's sword, a red sash, a drinking flask, and a pair of binoculars. They also have his Southern Cross of Honor, which he pawned several days before his death. His granddaughter donated the items in 1941.
